Purpose of Establishment:
ECRE’s mission is to protect and advance the rights of refugees, asylum-seekers and other forcibly displaced persons in Europe and in Europe’s external policies.
ECRE’s work covers three main activities:
1. Legal Support and Litigation: FIGHTING THE LEGAL BATTLE
2. Advocacy: CHANGING THE AGENDA
3. Communication: DELIVERING THE MESSAGE
ECRE stablished in 1974 and has grown rapidly in recent year.
The field of exchange and solidarity with European Union civil society organizations:
As an alliance of civil society organizations in Europe, ensuring cooperation among civil society and facilitating joint action in support of refugee rights is a core tenet of ECRE’s work.
